Argh! A faulty doorbell meant I missed the delivery of my new mixing desk this morning. No matter - it will come tomorrow and I don't even have all the connections for it yet to start late-night analogue mixing. It's the most expensive thing I've ever bought. Greetings from East Sussex. Home life is a mixture of joy and the niggling stresses of home alterations but it is mostly very joyful. Having a proper high-quality supermarket on my doorstep is strangely uplifting. We will eat well this year. Also, having the sea as the horizon lets you know daily where you stand, where you cannot go and where you belong. It is humbling.

Apologies once again for the unexplained absence. I could easily blog daily with some knee-jerk reaction to 'this, that and the other', but I find myself content to be choosy with what I share.
